Of those 13 snaps btw, only 5 were in kick/punt coverage. That means he’s recorded a tackle on 3 of the 5 kick/punt coverage snaps he’s played. Pretty wild. This is why he’s a lock for the #Jets roster. Will be a top gunner this season.

Jarrick Bernard-Converse finished with an 87.2 PFF grade against the Giants, including an 85.2 coverage grade. JBC was targeted twice, allowing 1 catch for 5 yards. He also led the #Jets with 3 run stops. Excellent cover CB and tackler. Need to find a spot for him on the 53.
Jarrick Bernard-Converse impresses every time he’s on the field. I know the #Jets are deep at CB and it’s going to be tough for him to make the cut, but he’s absolutely one of the best 53 players on this roster. Was awesome last summer. Has had another very good game tonight.

Guys like John Wolford, Trevor Siemian, Dorian Thompson-Robinson, Sean Clifford, Brett Rypien, etc will be on NFL rosters this season. There’s no reason why Martinez should not be considered NFL-caliber if those guys are.

People trying to dunk on this now are forgetting that Brandon Allen, Jake Browning, Joe Milton, and Zach Wilson are currently NFL QB2s. The bar for being an NFL-caliber quarterback is not particularly high and I still think Adrian Martinez clears it. 🫡.
Adrian Martinez is a legit NFL quarterback.

The #Jets have something in Quentin Skinner. He’s flashed this summer. Likely a long shot to make the 53, but absolutely should be a priority PS signing. Fun guy to keep around and develop. Really intriguing size/speed blend.

Malachi Corley has played two snaps in this game, both on the kick return team. The first play he missed a block (on the guy who tackled Edwards) and the second play he’s called for an illegal double team block. It’s now the 4th quarter and he’s yet to play an offensive snap.
Malachi Corley has not seen the field and it’s nearly halftime. Arian Smith, Brandon Smith, and Jamaal Pritchett are the #Jets 2nd team WRs. I don’t really see a scenario in which Corley makes the 53. He’s got about 8 or so WRs ahead of him on the depth chart.
