On Saturday, the Huron Women’s Soccer Program travelled to Chelsea for a JV and varsity match against the Bulldogs. JV won 2-1 with the two goal scorers being Grace Gillespie and Fanta Kaba. Varsity won 3-1 with Ayla Tindall scoring 2 and Solana Peralta scoring the third goal.

Last night, the Huron Men’s Varsity Baseball team traveled to Pinckney High School for a two game series. The River Rats split the series as they picked up their first win on the year. The result of the game Huron won was 6-4.

This evening, the Huron Men’s Varsity Basketball team won their third consecutive regional championship. The River Rats beat Detroit Catholic Central 69-59. Huron will move on to states next week against East Lansing High School.

Last night, The Huron Men’s Varsity Basketball team travelled to Saline High School to take on the Hornets. The River Rats were able to avenge their tight loss to the first ranked team in the state with a statement win over Saline. The River Rats came out on top 72-34.

Yesterday, the Huron Women’s Varsity Volleyball team took on Saline in the district semifinals. Saline took home all three sets of the match ending the season for the River Rats. These were the scores of the three sets: 25-8 25-8 25-19

This week, the Emery staff is staying in Philadelphia to attend the JEA/NSPA fall conference. Through the course of this week, they will be learning journalism skills and competing in many different journalism contests for national awards. #nhsjc

Tomorrow, before school and during lunch periods, the staff of the Emery will be handing out issue 2 of our print newspaper! If you can’t find a staff member, pick a copy up outside of room 4203.

Tomorrow at Huron, there is an early release schedule in place. Students will have 26 minute classes and will get out of school at 12pm. The bell schedule for tomorrow is attached below:

Last weekend, the Huron Women’s Cross Country team competed in the regional playoffs with 16 other schools. Running at their home course, Willow Run Metropark, they placed 2nd, allowing them to move on to states this weekend. Many runners had PR’s and performed exceptionally.

On Saturday, Oct. 26, the Huron Men’s Waterpolo team took on the Saline Hornets in the district championship. The River Rats came out victorious at Skyline High School winning a very close game 8-7 and earning themselves a district title. They now move onto regional competitions.

The Huron Varsity Football team is traveling to Stoney Creek High School tonight to take on the Cougars at 7pm. This is the final regular season game for the River Rats as they look to come out on top keeping their win streak alive as they prepare for playoffs.

This evening, the Huron Women’s Varsity Volleyball team travelled to Airport High School for a quad competition against Dundee High School, Clarenceville High School, and Airport High School. Their only loss came from Airport 2-0 as they beat both Dundee and Clarenceville 2-1.

Earlier today, the Huron Varsity Field Hockey team travelled to Pioneer High School to take on the Pioneers. Pioneer won this state semifinal competition by a score of 4-0 ending the River Rats impressive season and sending the Pioneers to play for the state championship.

Last night, the Huron Varsity Field Hockey team took on Farmington United for a chance to head to the state semifinals. The River Rats came out on top winning 6-0 clinching their spot in the state tournament. Tomorrow, they will take on the Pioneers at at Pioneer High School.

On Friday, the Huron Football team travelled to Pioneer High School to take on the Pioneers. It was very close throughout the game but with a minute left, Huron’s special teams unit recovered a fumble sealing the cross town rivalry win for the Rats. The final score was 28-26.

Huron Women's Varsity Field Hockey takes on Edsel Ford High School at 4:30pm in the River Bank Stadium for their first round of districts. Tonight at 7pm Men's Varsity Football plays city rivals Pioneer High School at Holloway Stadium.

After holding the Hornets 0-0 in the first half the Rats fell to Saline 3-0 in the soccer district final match ending their season.

This evening, the Huron Varsity Men’s Soccer team is traveling to Saline High School for the district 9 final. They kick off against the Hornets who are the defending champions at 7pm.

Last night, the Huron Volleyball Program travelled to Dexter High School to take on the Dreadnaughts. All three teams including the freshman, JV, and varsity teams played and Dexter had a clean sweep. They won all three of the contests with a 3-0 deficient in sets.
