Complexity debt, I like this concept, I think of it like a layer of abstraction above tech debt that also includes overly complex processes, policies, etc. in an organization that will make a business perform worse…just like tech debt makes software perform worse. Brilliant.

We also felt burnout was a serious (and growing) one for devs - so we just released:.The Stress Equation, by Marcus Lagré.With 20 years in

Tech debt is aptly named because it behaves very similar to financial debt. treating it similarly is a good way to take command of it. #technicaldebt #softwareintelligence.

Tech debt is surging — and AI might be to blame. Forrester warns that by 2026, 75% of tech leaders will face severe tech debt. GenAI is both the culprit and the cure. Are you ready for the wave? . #TechDebt #AI #CIO #EnterpriseIT #Forrester.

"Gen AI tools and capabilities are introducing new sources of technical debt." . Agree 200% and the trick is figuring out where you have your good (acceptable) and bad tech debt, then prioritizing the bad. .

Hot take: vibe coding is NOT the future. I love the evolution of AI tools. Claude 3.5 Sonnet, Cursor, Lovable make me 10x more productive than I could have ever been. The problem is that blindly copy-pasting code STOPS you from actually understanding the code. You HAVE to.
