I firmly believe gamers should date gamers.
I don’t think I could ever date someone who doesn’t play games. It’s such a big part of my life I’d want to share with and experience with a partner.
@Naaackers
@MissNerdyCurvy
This take ain’t it my man. I’ve been told probably 100 times in my chat when someone has passed away, and you know my response?
I’m so so sorry, if you need to talk we can have a chat offline.
It’s not hard, and this is no excuse
“Gaming is just a phase..”
No it’s not. Why are mostly gamers expected to grow out of their hobby?
Why is it perfectly fine for people to watch a few players run up and down a field kicking a ball, but gaming is immature and a waste of time?
Gaming is for life. Deal with it.
Twitch has not so great discoverability, so to get Partner you need to post regularly elsewhere.
Anyone else feel the struggle of keeping up with so many social platforms?
@_wefoundthebody
Classic narcissist. Apologises but then goes on defense for an hour 🤣
Life isn’t sunshine and rainbows, and berating someone who lost their mum because it’s ruining the vibes is gross. Stating “hey we don’t want heavy stuff in chat, but I’m so sorry for your loss” is enough.
To the people getting upset by my post, please don’t, opinions are like arseholes, everyone has one.
I’m not saying this is the creed to follow, only my opinion, which you don’t need to agree with. I’ve seen so many gamer friends burnt by people who disrespect gaming (biased)
If you ban / block someone they shouldn’t be able to view your stream.
If you don’t have a Twitch account, you should be made to login to view streams.
Do better Twitch. 🤷♀️🤔
Single player games are infinitely better and more interesting than multiplayer games, especially battle Royales.
The gaming world is way too oversaturated in online and multiplayer games.
Someone once told me I’ll never be twitch partner.
I’m choosing to harness that toxic energy to prove them wrong.
I will be partner, and I will be a damn good one.
Just. You. Wait. ✨✨✨✨
Streamers supporting streamers, not due to any incentive or expecting something back, but just because of a belief in kindness and being generous is the energy I like to see. 🥹🥹🥹
Toxic positivity in Twitch streams is just as bad, or in some cases even worse than negativity. ❌
It’s a facade that goes against any sense of realism, discourages empathy or caring for your audience, and harbours a lack of awareness of mental health issues.
Big no from me 🤢
I’m starting to think letting natural growth / progression on twitch is healthier than pushing hardcore and worrying about partner numbers.
It’ll happen when it’s meant to. 🤷♀️
@Naaackers
@MissNerdyCurvy
Dude you can offer support for 3 mins of your time. It’s bullshit to say it’s naivety when common sense and boundaries can easily be set.
If I am at mental health peak, I just simply advise to seek therapy or counselling if I can’t continue the conversation.
Clickbait Twitch live notifications are the worst.
“Xyz gifted a sub to you” “xyz just followed you” “xyz mentioned you” etc
It’s lazy, deceiving and unoriginal, don’t do it 🤦♀️
If you’re just using your Twitter for ‘I’m going live’ posts, you’re missing out on a ton of engagement and networking opportunities.
Also opportunities to meet some cool beans 🤷♀️
Honestly, the twitch streamer drama is what stops me from networking / collaborating a lot of the time.
It’s safe to stay in your own bubble sometimes. I’m too sensitive to be dragged into bs drama. 🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️
Non gamer partners won’t understand how crushed I was when Vesemir died in Witcher 3. I want a partner I can cry or laugh at over game events, not someone that stares blankly and nods with a “yeah sure honey, whatever you say” look. If you get it, you get it. 🤷♀️
Viewers that chat about the game a streamer is playing & balance the conversation with some discussion about their personal life are super appreciated.
Viewers that only talk about their personal life & never about the game sometimes make me feel super uncomfortable.
Thoughts?
@DannyOh103
I personally believe its good to have one main shared interest, that could be crime movies, fantasy novels, whatever it is. If there is not one at least main shared interest / passionate subject, things get stagnant real quickly
Everyone wants to make it big on Twitch, but have you considered the negatives?
🔵 higher chance of stalking
🔵 people trying to cancel you constantly
🔵 more toxicity / drama
🔵 high workload / burnout
🔵 loads of scrutiny on content
🔵 more expectations
@Dexerto
To all the people saying it’s not sexist, it is, because he so arrogantly says “if she’s streaming, she has to stop all that and cook and clean for me. She’s not doing any of that streaming stuff. He’s not supporting her wants and desires. He wants her to disregard her career.
So many people commenting “it’s fine cos my partner tolerates it.” That’s what I mean! Tolerance….
Tolerating or “putting up with” someone’s hobby is the bare minimum, and my opinion, shouldn’t be sought after. Tolerance vs someone loving your hobby, there’s just no comparison
Why do the streamers that attack women's success on Twitch, seem to usually be salty dudes who only play CoD, Fortnite or Apex and complain that they have 1 viewer?
It's not women's fault that you're not successful, make better content. GG
When I came out as bi, I saw so many people ‘mysteriously’ drop out of my community, like just because me saying “sometimes I’m attracted to women, not just men,” is somehow threatening.
Really showed me that people liked a perceived image of me, and not the real me. Hits hard.
To me personally, trauma dumping is not coming into a stream and sadly sharing someone has passed away.
If a mate said to you, oh my dad passed away, would you say “can’t talk about that. Go talk to a psychologist.” No.
That’s a significant life event. Show care for people.
Lol so I unfollowed EmpressLinda because she was being a terrible person to a few lovely women I follow, and she puts me on her hated list of people…. For just unfollowing 👍👍👍
Ok cya 🤘
Some asshole came into stream and was like “you work in IT? Ok list all 7 OSI model layers then. Bet you won’t.”
Bro I learnt OSI 10 years ago in uni, sure I remember it, but it has no relevance to what I do in cybersecurity.
I don’t have to prove myself to you or anyone 🤦♀️🤣
@Naaackers
@MissNerdyCurvy
He went on so much about the intitial point of trauma dumping that in that 1 min tirade he could have said I’m sorry for your loss once 🤣
Guy likes the sound of his own voice and seemingly to shut her down, his behaviour was childish and he was trying to embarrass her
Sometimes I don’t know how the big people on Twitch became big with the bs drama and toxicity surrounding them.
Why is it so hard for some people to be kind & good?
Cheating on your partner is never justified. Don’t do it. It literally ruins people.
Break up with them first if you want to be with someone else. Your selfish actions shouldn’t have to affect someone lifelong.
Had some absolute melon come in stream today and tell me I swear too much, then went to YouTube to repeat.
If you don’t like streamers who swear, don’t watch them. Don’t dictate how I run my content, just don’t watch. Simple 🙃🙃🙃
I am not family friendly, nor ever will be!
Fuck anyone who thinks redheads are ugly.
We are literally the most feisty kinky fuckers you’ll ever meet, and you’re lucky to be in our presence. The haters can go suck on a vanilla ice cream. 💀
If someone comes into your stream, and hasn’t said hi because they want to lurk silently, and you call out their name, DON’T be surprised if they leave.
Some people want to watch/lurk without the pressure of talking, and you just scared them off 🤷♀️
STOP CALLING OUT LURKERS ‼️
I’m starting to feel like I only want to stream games, and I can see how that’s unhealthy cos there should be games we play offline too.
Does anyone else experience that internal conflict? ✨✨✨✨✨✨
I've had so many toxic people tell me I won't reach partner over the last week. Guess what? Your hate fuels me to work harder.
Even if it takes me years, I WILL GET PARTNER. 💅💅
The “I’ll only support you, if you support me” mentality that a lot of streamers have, is the exact reason why many may not be cut out for this.
No one owes you anything 🙌🙌🙌🙌
Nah - my ideal man:
* has glasses
* has friends of any gender
* wears rings / jewellery
* dresses however the fuck they want
* is nerdy
* loves his family
* respects all people
* loves animals
* smart
* funny & goofy
* gamer
* metalhead
* kind and sweet
That’s it ✨
Why do people get angry over lots of cutscenes and dialogue in games, or games being 100+ hours?
If I’m paying 70-80 bucks for a game, you bet your ass I want a lot of content, character development and lore to delve into.
The longer the game, means more value to me 🙌🙌🙌
I feel uncomfortable when someone’s been in my stream a few times and says “I love you” or calls me their best friend when I don’t even know them.
Like, no, you need to earn that privilege to say that, and that takes months. Read the room, you’re being inappropriate.
Your viewers are allowed to like and watch other streamers.
Your viewers are allowed to follow, sub & donate to other streamers.
You don’t own your viewers. Don’t feel jealous that there are other streamers out there that they like apart from you.
My favourite toxic Twitch viewer moment was when some dude came into my stream to tell me “you’re so pretty, but you’re shit at Elden Ring.”
Right before I slammed the boss’ ass.
He felt so bad he followed me and then gifted me 2 subs. Shucks. 😉😉
So I’ve been doing a lot of soul-searching over 6 months, and after seeking advice within the LGBTQIA+ community, I’m coming out as Bisexual, specifically Pansexual. 🥰
I come from a Catholic background, so it’s been an emotional rollercoaster, but I feel free. 🏳️🌈
Happy
#Pride
I could never date someone who tells you to stop gaming or thinks gaming is stupid.
Date people who respect your hobbies, it makes life so much easier. Even better if they’re already a gamer or are open to it.
@SamanthaTeapot
@_wefoundthebody
He asked where she’d been, that’s even worse since it’s specifically asking about her whereabouts / disappearance 🤦♀️🤦♀️
Are you a subtitles on or off person in video games?
I’m definitely subtitles on 🔥🔥some characters mumble, and I find it easier to absorb dialogue and plot with them on.
It’s VALID to want success on Twitch.
Yes you should turn your view count off, but it’s okay to want a high view count and do well ✅
I see a lot of people encouraging not caring about viewcount, and that’s fine, but you are also allowed to track metrics for success ✨✨✨✨
@_wefoundthebody
This is a weak apology my dude. Doesn’t sound genuine or heartfelt at all.
And to end it with an excuse of why you acted like a manchild, nah bro.
Someone called me a ‘Fake Amouranth’ last night.
First of all, I’m a real redhead so you got that part wrong. Also Amo is successful, you cannot compare.
Secondly, I’m not trying to ‘be’ anyone on Twitch, I am my own person and not anyone else, just to make people laugh.
This notion that women hit the wall after 30 is ridiculous.
I saw someone write in a 22 year old streamers’ chat that she’s the new Amouranth and that “Amouranth is a ticking time bomb as she’s nearly 30, and hotter younger women need to replace her”.
Disgusting 🤢
I can’t believe I have to explain that if there is a 40+ age man who exclusively targets women aged 23 or below, and specifically avoids women closer to their own age, that this is predatory behaviour.
Shouldn’t it be common knowledge?
Men who are 20 look like babies to me!
I honestly feel so sorry for whoever marries or is married to you.
Not allowing a man to cry, and putting this heavy weight of suppressing emotions is exactly why there’s such a high suicide rate by men, because people like you don’t allow them to express themselves. Gtfo 🤮🤮
I really need to go on a cute date and be surprised / treated.
I feel so ugly and worthless right now and it’s just a shit feeling. I’m trying so hard to feel good in my appearance and body but it ain’t happening. ❌
Can’t believe there’s still pathetic POS streamers claiming that women only do well on Twitch because they’re… women.
Maybe you’ll get more views if you:
Fix 👏 your 👏 shit 👏 content 👏
Bruh, fuck off. Sharing the cleaning and cooking duties isn't hard at all. If you're both working, you both put the effort in, simple as that.
Not every woman wants to be a housewife with NO aspirations. For some, that would be a boring existence. Jesus H Christ man
@Saiyan__Gaming
@mahphknawsum
@TheGingerPerks
Why is it sexist to want a woman that cooks & cleans? Thats just what traditional men want, and traditionally what women do.
No man wants a boss bitch with a career and an attitude. I'm not advocating sexism, but I honestly dont understand why women get so butthurt by this?
@mediocre_jok3r
Why? It's very fun talking about mutual hobbies with your partner. I love talking to my boyfriend about Witcher 3 or whatever game I'm playing at the moment, and he knows EXACTLY what I'm talking about
