2024: 2 and counting
that's 17 in six years.

Savor this and don't take it for granted.
On this first Sunday with no NFL football, please enjoy the most insane ending to any Broncos game I've ever seen.
The date: November 17, 1985.
Denver appears to have blocked the Chargers game-winning FG attempt in overtime, but then things take a turn. And then another . . .
The final minute and a half of the 1989 CU / Nebraska broadcast on CBS is some of the best live television producing/directing/camerawork I've ever seen. I hope they won an Emmy for this.
Division titles since 1993:
The Colorado Avalanche: 12
The Denver Broncos: 8
The Denver Nuggets: 6
Literally CU football: 5
The Colorado Rockies: just vibes
The Buffs being 3-0 again has me thinking about the 2008 West Virginia game and one of the best uses of the wire camera I've ever seen. Oscar-worthy stuff.
My dad died today, suddenly and unexpectedly.
I don't need for you to tell me how sorry you are.
I want you to be good to each other.
I want you to forgive who needs to be forgiven and apologize to who you need to apologize to.
Life is too fleeting to be angry at each other.
HERE COMES RALPHIE.
This footage is from the very first season of a now 52 year-old tradition, as Ralphie I leads the Buffs onto the field at the 1967 Bluebonnet Bowl. Check out the hat!
You may be cool, but you will never be as cool as Larry Walker with a handlebar mustache doing the statue of liberty pose in a turn ahead the clock jersey after hitting a walk-off homer.
Now that I'm on the subject, my dream would be to see a jumbotron about the size of the yellow box in the south end zone at Folsom. It would become the main one as there's not much room to expand the one on top of Dal Ward.
To those of us who have been on Buffs Twitter since the beginning: I see you. Any success will mean so much more to us than it will to someone who hops on the bandwagon after this weekend.
I know there are "classrooms" inside, or whatever, but I'm here to tell you that we gotta demolish Duane Physics. Just look at the view without it (July 4, 1964)

So excited to announce this series:
Before each CU home game this season, jump in the

time machine with me and explore Folsom Field's fascinating evolution and its greatest moments. You can read part one covering 1924-1955 now!
Man, going back through those talks I had with my friends right after the Nolan trade and seeing how much we cared at the time . . . It really did break this fanbase. Three years later and I still feel no positive emotions about the team I grew up loving for 20 years.
If we all do our part, Larry Walker will be inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame next year.
Tweet about it. Blog about it. Write to HOF voters.
It will be a battle, but we're gonna win.

If any CU players or coaches unfamiliar with this rivalry need motivation for this week . . .
The last time CU and CSU played at Folsom was in 2009. CSU won, and their fans rushed the field and danced on the Buffalo.
It still hurts me to look at this.
It can't happen again.
A win is a win, but if I’m Denver, I treat this like a loss. Lakers really figured something out when they missed a bunch of shots and looked like shit in the second half
Only male cardinals are red. And the Cardinals logo is just two of them just hanging out together on a bat. I guess what I'm wondering is: fellas, is it gay to root for the Cardinals?
It's great that some franchises can suck for half a decade, draft horribly, and then just get two of the best players in the world to decide to play for them

After 7 games I thought I had a pretty good handle on who this team was. Nothing in the USC or Washington games seemed to invalidate the first 5 games. But that...was the worst loss of MacIntyre's tenure and one of the worst in program history. Where do you go from here?
If this ends up being equivalent to Jack winning tickets on the Titanic in a poker game we're still in the part of the movie where you're still happy for him and forget all about how it's going to end
If CU is successful in the next year or two I'll be ecstatic for all the players, but I'll be happiest for the ones who were here during the bad times and stuck it out through all the turmoil.
Folsom has to host a winter classic soon. Not just any stadium series game. The big one.
Cannot think of another stadium that would have better sightlines for hockey.
Cannot think of a better atmosphere.
Here's my "cheapest available" ticket from the last time the conference finals came to Denver. Adjusted for inflation the face value of this ticket would be $85 today. The face value of the cheapest tickets for tomorrow night is $259; almost exactly 300% more. Greed sucks.
Bill McCartney spearheaded a return to black jerseys, introduced the huge COLORADO across the chest, which CU had never had, and chose the occasion of CU's first ever home night game to break out black pants for the first time ever but no, he didn't care how his team looked.

DIDO! I agree, 100% stop worrying about how the uniforms look and go out there and ball! Back when we won a national championship we just put on the black and gold and went out there played ball!🦬🦬🦬🦬
It's been 10 years since Helton had his number retired. They should have him back for another ceremony where they unveil the gold HOF trim on it. Y'know, give people a reason to show up to the ballpark
Just hire Chiv. If he's good, great. If he's not good, try again next time. I don't wanna bring in a low ceiling safety hire just because we can't get anyone better at this current moment.
I saw Coach Prime and son admiring the 1997-98 jerseys in the equipment room in a video the other day, and my agenda for these jerseys being worn again has never been stronger.

It means a lot to watch a male wrestler who's open about and proud of his sexuality without said sexuality being turned into a bad gimmick or cliché storyline. Feels like the kind of thing that would have been impossible until only recently. Love you guys.
@IsmoLehkonen
wow! thank you. that means so much. I'm speechless.
I made a version of the video with the Finnish call of his Cup winning goal. It was my favorite call of the finals in any language. But in the end I liked the moment even better with just Eddie's guitar. Here's how it looked:
