💀 Made in alabaster around 1530, it was originally installed in the center of the Cimetière des Innocents in Paris in a wooden gatehouse, watching over the dead. The inscription at the bottom of the tablet reads: "Priez Dieu pour les trépassés" ("Pray to God for the dead"). -
