After 2 weeks off (virus recovery and remote working), looking forward to getting back to the frontline tomorrow. Absolutely nothing will be the same as when I went off. It’s going to be like entering a parallel universe....

On route to London to discuss the importance of delivering a balanced curriculum that includes the relationship between #BritishEmpire and South Asia; specifically how to teach #Partition and the relevance to Britain's diversity. #SouthAsia *is* part of #BritishHistory

72 years ago British India was divided along religious lines into India and Pakistan. There was joy at independence. But partition saw millions migrate and terrible violence. Some went on to live in Britain. They kept their silence #partitionvoices tells their stories. THREAD

Hey Twitter - we'd love to know about UK-based South Asian female historians! We were lucky to meet the incredible @priyaatwal + @JhuttiJay at the @bimcic event last year but would love to expand our list as it's an area we're hoping to do some work in 🙆🏽‍♀️ #SouthAsianHistorians
