👀 Risto’s been getting top line minutes with Sanheim the last couple games and the underlying numbers have looked good. Hopefully after the Olympics this is something that gains traction. #LetsGoFlyers
Something to watch, Detroit has had a couple scouts in Philadelphia the past week. Yzerman loves big physical dman. If Flyers were willing to retain (they should be), DET a team to watch for Rasmus Ristolainen. $2.55M would be a steal for Ristolainen. #LetsGoFlyers

Steve Mason was incredibly underrated in his four years as a Flyer 13/14: 0.917 SV%, 2.5 GAA 14/15: 0.928 SV%, 2.25 GAA 15/16: 0.918 SV%, 2.51 GAA 16/17: 0.908 SV%, 2.66 GAA Also 2014 playoffs, played 5 games with a 0.939 SV% Great tender, just not great teams in front of him
In 2015-16 the Flyers used 2 goalies. Steve Mason-54 games-.918 sv% Michael Neuvirth-32 games-.924 sv% We had no clue how good we had it.

One Flyers name that had some good interest before the freeze was Nick Seeler, who has 2yrs ($2.7M aav) left on his deal. He does have a full no trade clause & would have to approve a deal, but there is some interest in the reliable 3rd pair, excellent PKer d-man. #LetsGoFlyers

As of now, in my opinion he can be a long term option for the Flyers third-pair. Also until we have a legit PP QB, I would try to get him out there more. Ideally in the future he’s on the third-pair with a competent RH defense-first partner

Claude Giroux was 33, had 42 points in 57 games, and limited Chuck Fletcher to Florida with a full NMC. One of the only great things Chuck did while here was facing that situation and still getting Owen Tippett, a 1st rounder, and a 3rd rounder out of it. #LetsGoFlyers
Patrick Kane, Brad Marchand, now Artemi Panarin. Time for NHL fans to realize if a player is old, expiring, on a full NMC and on a roster that looks that they're on the decline, they're probably not getting multiple great young pieces in a trade. NMC is king in the NHL.

Wow that wasn’t a big return at all. I wonder if the asking price got reduced since 34 yr old Panarin wanted a multi-year extension attached to the trade. I’m sure we’ll be facing Greentree for many years to come. Good winger prospect for NY.
