Sitting in a psych ward for recent thoughts of ending my life at the exact same hospital where, 11 yrs ago today, I had a cancerous tumor removed from kidney that could have ended my life is........something. I'll still find a way to celebrate 11 years cancer free today. Cheers.

Good evening. Real talk again: I am safe and I am okay. I am also back in the psych ward because this is where I need to be. Staring at these walls for potentially 6 days or more is better than 6 feet under. Whatever it takes is exactly what I will do. This is step 1. Much ♥️

At this point, I have two options: 1) Keep living life the way I am which basically consist of a 16-hour intermittent panic attack (truly all day long), knowing I'll eventually give up & take my life 2) Take control and do interventional psychiatry and take back my life.

I do also not only acknowledge that there are plenty of people out there who have it worse than myself, but I sincerely feel empathy for every single person who indeed does have it "worse". I'm sorry. That said this isn't a pissing contest. There are no prizes here. 2/3
