So what can you do? Do you need to quit your job and start your own business today? No, I don’t think so. But the rule should be that the money from your job is not what you live on.

People may think that getting a job at a large company means it’s safe, but the same problems happen there. If you don’t perform, or if something happens in the economy, or if your boss simply doesn’t like having you around, your job could be at risk.

About half our workforce works for a small business, and no matter what you are told, your job isn’t safe. If the business suffers, or if you are not performing well, it is the duty of the owner to preserve the business, and your job is on the chopping block.
