It's almost 24hrs since President Tinubu posted the photo on his official X account. If the meeting never happened, the Rwandan government would have debunked it immediately. It’s obviously a real meeting, just a poorly handled upload.

I think it would be a massive diplomatic disaster to tag President Kagame’s official handle in a fake photo. I know this current government 'can do and undo', but they aren't that careless.

If your Next.js app uses the App Router, you must patch to Next.js 16.0.7+ now, as critical RCE (Remote Code Execution) flaws are already being exploited. After updating to the latest patch, ensure you check your app features & functionalities before deploying to production.

In fact, these updates have already started appearing on several https://t.co/UdwcJg6Lr4 platforms.

But to be fair, I don’t think the money was just for the logo design. It probably also covered accessibility improvements for visually impaired users, as well as the rollout of the new design across all https://t.co/UdwcJg6Lr4 services, both online and on physical materials.

If you place the old and new logos side by side, you’d almost miss the difference. Which is why many people feel the change wasn’t worth such a huge amount.

Sometime in June this year, the UK government changed the look of the https://t.co/UdwcJg6Lr4 logo, and it was reported that they spent £532,000 on it.

That’s why I test thoroughly before deploying; because catching issues early is almost always easier (and cheaper) than fixing them later.

A strategy that’s helped me write better code over the years is thinking defensively and proactively. I try to anticipate what could go wrong and accept that bugs are part of the process...

Tech exists to simplify complex problems, not make them worse. If people can't figure out the basics of what you’ve built without feeling lost, then something’s off.

Should we really be running Computer-Based Tests (CBT) if the systems behind them are not built to handle situational failures or downtimes?

Did the system fail to record candidates' answers? If answers were captured but marked incorrectly, why not use tech (or human reviewers) to remark instead of a complete resit? Was there no emergency recovery strategy? No fallback plan for technical disruptions?

What exactly was the technical glitch, since it didn't happen nationwide, but just 157 out of the 887 UTME centres? What went wrong in these 157 centres?

But asking nearly 388,000 students to resit the exam starting May 16th, just two days from now, raises serious concerns. Imagine! Giving just two days’ notice to prepare mentally, emotionally, and logistically for an exam that determines these children's entire academic future?
