Today is the International #IndigenousPeoples day. This day seeks to protect and promote the rights, culture, and land of indigenous people. They are on the frontline of climate change and we have to ensure that their voices are heard louder and clear. #IndigenousPeoplesDay

Since 2017, more than 1M #Uyghurs have been detained in "transformation through education" camps, forced to renounce their ethnic identity, stuck in a daily grind of surveillance and indoctrination. Meet Ilham Tohti an economist consistently outspoken on Uyghur rights in #China.

Last Monday our beloved #RaffaellaCarra passed away. She burst onto the television scene in the early ’70 and helped bring forth a more #liberated culture, in which the #joy of #sex was openly discussed and the female body was not hidden away but celebrated. Ciao Raffaella💃

In 2020, inmates began protesting against lack of Covid-19 safety measures. The resulting riots were quickly squashed mercilessly as showed in some video leakages of #SantaMariaCapuaVetere. From the 2001 G7 riots in #Genoa Italy hasn't ensured cops' uniform identification yet.

Let's debunk some myths starting from “Painful periods are normal.” Taboo on #periods and everything below the women’s waist delayed awareness and early diagnosis of #endometriosis, thus preventing the search for an effective treatment. Find out more ⬇️

The aim of these programmes is to increase safety for women and children by interrupting the violent behaviour, increasing men’s self-reflective skills, supporting men in developing non-violent coping strategies, and monitor the risk levels of perpetrators for their(ex-)partners.

We must stop asking why doesn't she leave and start asking why doesn't HE stop. Research show how likely is for DV #perpetrators to reoffend. Perpetrator programmes might be key enabler of cultural change, in order to interrupt social patterns akin to the #patriarchal culture.

Last week we asked our readers to submit ideas for our fourth Person of the Week for the #PrideMonth. One suggestion struck us, being incredibly timing with the debate on #DDLZan (Italy) against homotransphobia.  Meet Marco Bisceglia, once-priest then founder of @Arcigay.
