I celebrated my first Dashiversary (aka my 1️⃣ year #WorkAnniversary at @DoorDash) this week! 🎉

Two conferences reached out this week to ask me to speak, but then said that they don't have budget for compensating speakers for their time. Yet, they are selling tickets for $500-$1200. Something isn't adding up here.. #PayBlackWomen #RedFlags 🚩🚩🚩

Honored to be a panelist (judge) for the Fellowship Pitch Day hosted by @closethegaporg! I particularly loved how they were teaching these young people who were from low income, systemically underrepresented backgrounds to be "exceptional, not exceptions." #PitchCompetition

Words have power. The biggest misuse of a word I hear daily is "diverse." This word is used to describe a group of people. It cannot be used to describe an individual and should not be used as an abbreviation or in place of words like "Black" or "LGBTQ+." #DiversityandInclusion
