Your child needs to learn how to resolve conflict with others as early as possible. If we keep fixing things for them, they won’t have a chance to learn this. Parents, look for opportunities to say, “you’ve got this and I will be happy to help you prepare”.

Self celebration is unnecessary - Celebrate is great as long as it is with your teammates and not for yourself or against your opponent.

Welcome to tournament season. As a reminder - whether the team qualifies or not, places or not, or hangs a banner or not, remember that you are watching 15-18 year old kids playing a game. Enjoy the kids’ talents on display, but just let them play!

Emerson pt 1: “The force of character is cumulative. All the foregone days of virtue work their health into this. What makes the majesty of the heroes of the senate and the field, which so fills the imagination?

“Men desire novelty to such an extent that those who are doing well will wish for change as much as those who are doing badly.” -Machiavelli Know any coaches that fit that description?

Great leaders surround themselves with people who are skilled in areas that they are not. To reach our potential, we must let go of any and all fears about people on our team “outshining” us. #3DCoaching

One of the college football teams we are working with has eliminated all head phones and cell phones when eating or doing any team activity. Every teammate has a story, know it. Talking and laughing with teammates builds trust.
