20 years ago today, to help combat the “cloning” issue, the Club Penguin Team introduced the Activation Tool, which required players to link an active email address to their account. Penguins without a verified email would be deleted after two weeks.

19 years ago today, the Jolly Roger Flag Pin was hidden in the Pet Shop, making it the first Pin to be hidden in this room. The furniture item inspired by the Pin, sharing the same name, was released a year later in Rockhopper’s Rare Items Catalog.

18 years ago today, the Big Wigs Catalog was first released. The Club Penguin Team thought it would be a fun new way to dress up your Penguin. It wasn't until 2 years later that they would combine the Big Wigs Catalog with the Penguin Style Catalog.
