Maybe someday I'll have the courage to ask my mother what happened when I was little. But now you know, that I am also a victim of being exposed to sexual content as a child and how I revealed that I was most likely groomed as a kid. Roblox is NOT a safe platform. Never was.

The memory is vague because I was very young, and barely remember what happened back then. The reason I kinda remember it is because my main is NOT my original account. That's why my Roblox profile says it was made in 2014.

My mother was naive and left me unsupervised most of the time in Roblox. 12 years ago, my mom prohibited me from playing Roblox for a year when she found out I was being groomed by a pedophile. This vague memory stayed in my mind for years.

Roblox barely had moderation. When they did, it was minimal. Roblox s*x games would stay on the platform for weeks, even months. I still remember a moment somewhere in 2016-2017 that a s*x game had thousands of active players and was not moderated for HOURS.

The reason Roblox FINALLY took action is because news platforms started spreading how predators take advantage of young users with the scripts. I was also a victim. Roblox knew about the issue but didn't take action until they realized they risked to have reputation damage.

This might not be possible anymore due to FilteringEnabled forcing games to work locally, but that doesn't mean that it took Roblox YEARS to finally stop them from executing horrible scripts. One of the better known scripts are the r*** script.

As a kid, I loved to play Roblox when times were simple, but people falsely believe that 'Old Roblox' was safer. The reality is that Roblox has never been a safe platform. Exploiters took advantage of vulnerability issues to e.g. give players d**ks.
