TMVC was founded in February 1977. We are are a choir of around 55 singers based in Broadstairs, Kent. Our Honorary President is @brendablethyn OBE.

This morning we went to the turtle hatchery where they rehabilitate injured sea turtles and turtle eggs before releasing them back into the ocean. A bit of relaxation now until our surfing lesson this afternoon.

Yesterday we had our first day of volunteering, working at a nursery in Boossa. We entertained the children and then helped to paint their school.

This morning we were up early for our morning safari. A chance to see a variety of different animals waking up for the day.

Today we visited the elephant transit home to see the baby elephant feeding. After lunch we visited a Hindu temple.

After our visit to the tea factory this morning we went white water rafting down Kelani Ganga river.

This morning we visited the New Giragama Tea Factory to see how tea is produced before enjoying a refreshing cup of tea made in the factory. Now we are off towards Kithugala for some white water rafting.

Today we climbed Mt Manigala in the Knuckles mountain range before heading to Kandy for the night. Tomorrow we visit the sacred Temple of the Tooth relic, enjoy cultural performances and visit the botanical gardens in Peradeniya.

An afternoon exploring the ancient religious city of Polonnaruwa by bicycle, a sacred religious site. On the journey back to the accommodation the students gave us their best group karaoke. Tomorrow another early start as we hike through the Knuckles mountains.

An afternoon elephant 🐘 safari before checking into our accommodation for the next two nights. Tomorrow morning we're up early to climb Sigiriya Rock Fortress.

This morning we were up early to climb Sigiriya Rock (The Lion Rock) Fortress. Quick stop back at the accommodation to prepare for our afternoon tour around the ancient city of Polonnaruwa.
