@Yankees I'm not completely familiar with macho mentality of a relief pitcher but I'd have to think this could be coached into executing. It kinda sucks that maybe a save situation type reliever believes he's not The Man if he's pitching what is actually the most critical part in a 7th.

@Yankees I mean my mentality on saving the game doesn't necessarily mean the last inning. We need to use our best relief pitchers at the time they are most needed. A base hit in that 6th with 2 on leads to 2 runs. At that moment, saving the game by stopping those 2 runs is the importance

My attitude on relievers is completely situational. If you're in a tie game and there are runners on 2nd and 3rd let's say and our starter is wearing out with 2 outs in the 6th, depending on where the other teams lineup is, use Bednar there. Then have him pitch the 7th. @Yankees

$oklo you got to think about how the hype train has definitely started but the reality has not. A build out with serious funds is needed. We're talking diluted capital raises most likely and debt for a time unspecified.
