Because these are big code changes, we’re releasing them in stages. The next Termius update will include the Workspace feature - just drag multiple connections in one tab and switch between the Focus Mode to Split View modes!

Split View’s main issue? Recreating setups & focusing on one connection is clunky. Enter Focus Mode—zoom in on a single connection without losing multi-connection workflows. Combined, they form our new “Workspace,” simplifying how you can manage multiple connections in one place.

So, we went back to the drawing board, especially after seeing how tedious it is to reopen multiple connections. We realized we already had something in place - Split View (showing up to 16 connections at once).

We tried improving the command palette (CMD+K) to display a horizontal list of open connections. It helped, but since the palette isn’t always visible, it wasn’t a complete solution.

In mid-2024, we introduced horizontal tabs for top navigation. Most users found it intuitive and familiar. But for power users managing tons of connections, that narrow strip wasn’t ideal.
