This is a brilliant series..part fantasy, part crime noir, where magic has died and all the magical creatures have lost their powers..Fetch Philips is a brilliant creation, private eye and lost soul in equal measure and I heartily recommend this and all the others! #booksof25

I found this endlessly insightful, entertaining and comprehensive. A well researched dive into the aristocracy of today how they are, who they are, what they are and where they are all through the prism of the last 100 years or so. Loved it! #booksof24 @brushingboots

Thoroughly researched and written at a cracking pace this is a great read from @TracyBorman . It is safe to say Eliz 1st was a canny player in this game of thrones. And although James was perhaps the obvious choice, wiser heads than mine can argue if he was the best! #booksof25

Another satisfying read from @evagatesauthor must admit that Charles the cat must be a favourite character and is a most discerning judge of character! #cosycrime #booksof25

I found this so moving, E A. Hanks daughter of Tom but also of Susan embarks on a road trip along Highway 10 to try and understand her complicated relationship with her mother and herself and her country. Part travelogue, part memoir it is a trip worth taking! @GalleryBooks

This little series has me rather hooked! Book 4 on it's way! Well written with a likeable lead and the delights of Devon (apart from the murder! ) explored!

This could have been subtitled "When Aristocrats Go Bad", gossipy and full of tidbits the curtain is lifted on three aristocratic households and some of their worse progeny. Brilliant stuff! #booksof25

Kind of feel that this is the Japanese version of Poirot..Kosuke Kindaichi is not as neat or such a prima Donna as our Belgian friend but he is a excellent creation and an insight into Japenese culture of the mid 20th century is intriguing! #booksof25 #detecting

Fascinating, chilling and expertly written, this true crime exploration of what happened at 10 Rillington Place is excellent. Kate Summerscale explores the time, the place and the impact of the press but also the impact on the victim's families.
