I got to some sit-down interviews for Sunset Rewind while one of our hosts was out of town, as it’s the first time I’ve worked the Sunset Rewind tent. As always, it was a fun and memorable Battle at the Beach Tournament. High school football season can’t come any sooner.
Our Battle at the Beach video is up and ready to be viewed! We did something different for this year’s Battle at the Beach, as Kevin and Teran (filling in for Moe) compiled interviews from the 3 Sunset League schools that partook in the tournament. Enjoy!.

I also caught up with @boscofootball coach Jason Negro at Battle at the Beach as well. It’s always great to see Coach Negro and the Braves and I appreciate him letting me interview him for a second year. The Braves open up the season on 8/22 in Bradenton, FL against Manatee.
Our very own @TeranRodriguez1 caught up with @boscofootball coach Jason Negro at the Battle at the Beach tournament at Edison High. It’s a new year for the Braves, as they return a plethora of players from last year’s team that made the CIF-SS Division 1 Finals.

Today I had the honor of meeting and interviewing former NFL quarterback and current head football coach for Santa Margarita, Carson Palmer. I admit, I was nervous when I first met him, especially since he was right in front of me when trying to find him. But I kept it together.
Our very own @TeranRodriguez1 caught up with @SMCHS_Football coach and former NFL quarterback #CarsonPalmer at the Battle at the Beach Tournament at Edison High. Palmer is in his first year as head coach for the Eagles, who open up the season at home against #MissionViejo (8/22).

.@missionfootball repeats as Battle at the Beach champions as they did so despite missing Vance Spafford, Jeron Jones and 3 other key players. Sadly I was unable to catch up with head coach Chad Johnson or any of the players afterward due to an assignment I had. @ThreeAndOutIESR

If I didn’t have Battle at the Beach today, I would’ve for sure gone to this. But I’ll be at the George Yardley third place game and championship game tomorrow. For the semifinals today, it’s Newport Harbor vs. Corona Del Mar and San Clemente vs. Los Alamitos.

Final score: @missionfootball 23, Mission Hills . The Diablos get another score on their final drive, as they win Battle at the Beach for the second straight year. They also won their third passing league tournament despite being short-handed, as they complete the trifecta.
