Sadly it appears that our premonitions regarding mortgage underwriters only counting BTC and Crypto in centralized custody was correct
It looks like bitcoin held in self-custody will NOT count as an asset for consideration on home loans. This is a mistake @pulte, self-custody is fundamentally aligned w/American values. It's trivial to prove ownership of BTC in self-custody. I'm happy to explain how & help!

The Director of US housing looking into Crypto backed mortgages is exciting, but it is likely regulations will require centralized custody of your Crypto, which the government and banks can freeze or seize. Cypher Lending will enable loans without trusting government or banks.
