Yes and another model from China. This one edges out Claude 4 Opus. If benchmarks hold, we have another open-source leader. Deepseek R1-0528>Kimi K2> Qwen3-235B Reasoning>GLM 2.5

I tested the Kraken model today. Pretty good but failed a quarter of my LLM brain teasers on my private benchmark. Gemini Pro 2.5 fails half of them so,I am hopeful for this model whatever it turns out to be.

Will Zuck's refactoring of @Meta's AI plans be successful? It does seem like he has the money to burn. Considering it was 6 months between Grok 3 and Grok 4, it could take Zuck half a year to release its next model. Is that too late? The Chinese are cooking right now.

Remember Prolog? It was like the first deployable "~language model-ish" engine on Windows operating systems.

As we get ready for GPT-5, it's useful to look back at how often labs featured in the Top 5 of @lmarena_ai over the last 1.5 years. The competition is primarily between OpenAI and Google. Average appearances overall and specifically in 2025:.- OpenAI: Overall: 2.2; in 2025: 1.7

Do you think the average human will react to AGI like they will when seeing an extraterrestrial being, ambivalence?

I've been slowly consuming the paper and the major takeaway I get is; researchers claim they have discovered the first empirical scaling law for scientific discovery, demonstrating that architectural breakthroughs (for AI) can be scaled computationally, transforming research

MASSIVE claim in this paper. AI Architectural breakthroughs can be scaled computationally, transforming research progress from a human-limited to a computation-scalable process. So it turns architecture discovery into a compute‑bound process, opening a path to

In a now-deleted post by someone claiming to have early access to GPT-5 says it's the most hallucinatory model yet. He says not SOTA? I doubt GPT5 is not SOTA.

The future of SW development will be like making your own clothes. Follow the pattern of prompts and have the robot make it for you (just like sewbots).
