Yesterday, our volunteers had the opportunity to introduce ScratchJr to teachers and pupils at Baptist Primary School, Makurdi, Nigeria. We also donated some Android tablets to the school to aid their learning.

In fostering our commitments to make coding accessible, we just concluded the first phase of our teacher training program. Our participants drawn from public schools in low income communities around the Makurdi metropolis, got hands on training in #ScratchJr

In July, we donated 2 laptops and 2 Android Tablets to Children of Mary Orphanage, Otukpo, Nigeria. With these devices or volunteers and the teachers at the orphanage will continue to teach the children coding using @scratch and @ScratchJr in a more hands-on way.
