This hasn’t worked for a long time, is getting worse and is going to continue to do so @cricketireland @CIParticipation URGENT ACTION IS NEEDED. I think you might want to have a serious look as this from a lot of different aspects asap

What happened over the last two days benefits no-one. It’s beyond pointless. I feel sorry for all the players. These are worse than beatings as they’re repetitive. There’ll be no accountability and it’ll be brushed under the carpet until another HORROR show in 2026 .

Amongst some of the recommendations that were given to the MCU at the end of the youth IP’s in 2024 were 1. Youth players must play adult cricket 2. Bring back the Southern XI concept (best MCU players are joined by surplus Leinster players) Both fell on deaf ears.

· A lack of any apparent program apart from a big emphasis on fielding. · Dysfunctional operations leaving parents and players pulling their hair out! The list goes on and on!

The person in charge and the coaches don’t fully know the players. Yesterday a lad who bats top 4 batted 10 & a spin bowler who bats lower order opened the batting for the first time in his life and didn’t bowl.

· No consistency of coaches involved in or leading age groups. (Multiple coaches involved in the winter & 17s head coach for the Belfast trip was with the 15s for the last two days!). ·

· Having someone who doesn’t live in the province running everything without any knowledge of what’s going on provincially or in the clubs.

@MunsterCricket hasn’t help this absolute debacle by · Appointing a Cricket Leinster staff member to lead youth IP training in the winter who went back to his day job in April.

Context The Munster results over the last two days as the Youth Interpro’s started U17s T20-Munster 69 all out. Leinster 71 for 1 in 4.3 overs 50 Ov Leinster 448. Munster 39 all out U15s T20-Leinster 205 for 5 Munster 68 all out 50 Ov Leinster 334 Munster 117 (41 extras)

The @MunsterCricket “non-selection chums” still not paying any attention youth players output in adult cricket. No selection policy, no criteria. Worst thing is the kids are now asking questions. Shameful behaviour. PS any chance you’d unblock me from Facebook please 🙏

Week 15 where @quinsyouths players focus on a T20 training block. Powerplay first up with 0 wkts down and then 2 down. Batters adapt in scenario two with less freedom while still trying to keep the runrate high as the bowlers still remain proactive! Great work lads👏 @QuinsCC
