@TechEmails Eddy Cue was a real one, he had a great point too. If iMessage was released on all platforms, it would easily dominate all platforms! I, as an android user, would use iMessage over whatsapp or messenger easily

@TechEmails Craig is they guy. iMessage is one of the reasons I use a Mac instead of a pc. Network effect and closed Ecosystem is what keeps Apple going

@TechEmails The reason I don't buy apple is BECAUSE I don't want to get trapped in the ecosystem

@TechEmails Apple is exclusive...to the point of exclusion And almost to the extreme of isolating their users.

@TechEmails I’m on team Eddy Cue for this one. So many missed opportunities for Apple to expand their software reach outside the Apple ecosystem.

@TechEmails Eddy got lucky that Google is unable to create a coherent messaging service that lasts for more than a few years

@TechEmails I already said this in another thread but I never knew Eddy Cue was so based. Even 10 years later, his comments about Safari and iMessage on other platforms other than Apple’s still hold up today, especially now. He seems like a smart guy

@TechEmails On the contrary, if iMessage worked on Android, I would be able to convince them to switch to Apple. 😅

@TechEmails Reading this thread and the comments from a non-US context is so funny. We don’t use iMessage at all because we need to talk to people on both platforms, and the functions are way too limited compared to WhatsApp and Telegram.

@TechEmails "Now, we are starting to work on Safari again but look at Chrome. They put out releases at least every month while we basically do it once a year." 😈 😏 @googlechrome 🙌

@TechEmails I agree with Eddy Cue, and to solve others concern: iMessage key features can be limited only for iPhone for the exclusivity, but Android users able to chat with friends and family that using different devices

@TechEmails Honestly tired of saying it. We don't want iMessage on Android. Put RCS on the iPhone. Let them keep their iMessage features as iPhone exclusives.

@TechEmails I agree with Craig’s points re not giving android users iMessage as will reduce the chance of them switching to 🍏I moved to android but came back to apple because of apple features android didn’t have. If they had those features on android I probably would still own one now

@TechEmails Most of Android users probably use imesage alts (WhatsApp, Viber etc where some platforms are blocked) to communicate with iphone contacts. What will imessage give to android users? Curious to know.

@TechEmails Whatsapp is good enough for my use tbh. I don't see why I would want to use iMessage except the fact that it, maybe, looks prettier than Whatsapp.
