It is with a very heavy heart that we say goodbye to our fabulous Deputy Charge Nurse @MhairiWatson22 💕. Mhairi has been in SHDU for 9 years, and is moving in to a Colorectal Trainee ANP post! . We wish you all the best!!

A typical Surgical HDU bed space. We continually monitor patients' vital signs including HR / BP / IBP / sp02 % / temp and if required can provide humidified high flow oxygen and inotropic support to maintain a sufficient blood pressure (MAP)

SHDU have moved! After a period of quiet on twitter, we have been working hard to relocate our ward back home to WARD 58 to allow for remedial work to take place in @teamwghicu wd 20. We now have two side rooms, and two mixed bays of 4 beds to allow for optimal recovery post-op.
