We've been busy doing many things behind the scenes, but we thought we'd show one of the various things we're working on for the next release; updated mission mode!
Here's gameplay of "A Swingin' Good Time", as a treat for you all ✨
@HairHatFusion
We have our own goal to enhance the collection as best as we can without straying too far from the limits Sonic Team had when making it.
Sonic Origins Ultrafix is not going to be like Forever, Absolute, Restored / Miracle Edition, or A.I.R.
Thank you for your inquiry!
Hey! Just wanted to let you all know, if you encounter a bug with Sonic Origins Ultrafix (or base Sonic Origins Plus), you should mention us here, or send us a DM! We take bug reports both ways.
It'll help us get to fixing issues faster! ❤️
Some of our developers have been working on various audio-related stuff for Sonic Origins Ultrafix!
Here's a new sound-byte that one of them had recently implemented when they were reconstructing one of the Criware ACB files:
Sonic Origins Ultrafix is currently for the Steam version of Sonic Origins, and has no plans to support console (Switch). It doesn't work with the Epic release (as of writing this thread. if possible, buy the steam version of Sonic Origins Plus while on a sale).
Sonic Origins Ultrafix is a mod that is a passion project by a couple of sonic fans that wanted to see Sonic Origins (Plus) be at it's best.
You'll see quite a lot in this mod, including (but not limited to):
- Bugfixes (a ton!)
- Graphical fixes
- Secrets
- and a ton more!
However, there's one catch:
We do not plan to add anything that would be too out of scope for Origins itself, as we are doing our best to follow limits that Sonic Team had.
Don't expect the mod to be like Sonic 1 Forever or Sonic 3 A.I.R., even though those projects are cool.
@Dastanovich_
1. This will be addressed in a later update.
2. If you want Lives in a mode like Anniversary, use the codes in the mod manager.
3. The mod supports all languages. The only setting that doesn't support all is JP Game Gear names.
4. A lot is planned! Stay tuned in and you'll see 👀
@ThisGreenDingo
It's a custom sound-byte! The games that use a SEGA chant aren't always consistent with each other, so one of our developers decided to make our own for the mod.
The sound itself is constantly being tweaked, of course; what you see here may not be final!
