You might be wondering how we grade our social ride speeds? We use a similar system as skiing. Blue 💙 groups try to aim at between 14-16mph average speed, Red ❤️ 16-18mph, and Black 🖤 18mph+. Tending to be quicker in summer and slower in winter. We aim for 40-50 miles per ride.

Yesterday was the post-covid return of the IBC point-to-point. We had perfect weather as our teams raced around Ipswich in a treasure hunt style challenge. It was a lot of fun, thanks to everyone who took part, and congratulations to our winning team, Secret Squirrels Reloaded!

Lots of events happening this summer. This past weekend our usual SSR went out to Hog and Hen cafe, but we also had a group of riders loading up their bags and riding a two day trip up to Norwich and back. Events continue next weekend with our team point-to-point challenge

Great SSR today out to @thequeenatb in Brandeston. With all the events tomorrow a bit smaller turnout but people preparing for @RideLondon or our own local @Bomb_Along. Entries still available on the day, proceeds going to Alzheimer's Society.

Congratulations to all our award winners! We've finally been able to have a get together to hand them out after a few years of missing out. Great to see so many out for our social night to see them awarded and have a catch up.

Despite being a bit chilly to start it turned into a lovely day for a ride for our SSR this weekend. We stopped at The Garden Cafe Munnings which was always a popular destination for us, and we've really missed it over the pandemic. Great to see it back open under new management.

Great night last night at the Northern Gateway Sports Park last night where we had our skills training sessions. A great chance to practice our group riding skills ahead of summer, and have some fun on the closed track. Members can sign up now for one of our next sessions!

Great turnout for our first proper Reliability Ride in years. As usual, never have great weather, so riders faced a battle into the wind in the 2nd half of all 3 of our routes. Thanks to @fynnvalley for brilliantly hosting us (and feeding our hungry riders on their return).

We had our first hill climb in a few years yesterday. We use Watson's Hill, pretty much the only one round here with any steepness and a bit of length. Still quite early in the year so plenty of winter bikes on show, but congratulations to our men's and women's winners!

Then on Sunday its our (also delayed) Reliability Ride. Starting from Fynn Valley Golf Club, £4 entry, 3 route distances available with the longest distance off first from 8:30. Arrive from 8 for sign in. Routes available on our website

It's a double whammy weekend this week. First up Saturday we're having our delayed club Hill Climb competition. SSR groups will ride out to have a go before looping back to debrief at Cult Cafe. Normal 💙♥️🖤 groups available

A great day down at the Velodrome at @LeeValleyVP yesterday. It was pre-pandemic the last time we were here so it's been a while. Mix of people new to the Velodrome and some experienced. Started out getting used to the track again before having a go at some fun drills.

POSTPONED: due to the high winds forecast tomorrow the IBC Reliability ride has been postponed to the 13th March. We hope to see people then
