Our National Junior Honor Society ceremony included our current Tarkanian NJHS members and for the first time ever the new inductees for next year. These students worked hard all year long to maintain good.

Our annual 8th Grade Disneyland trip was a blast! Thank you to our amazing staff who coordinated and committed to making this trip a huge success.

Students from TMS attended the annual unified track and field event at Bonanza High School. This event supports unity between students with and without disabilities competing in sports activities. We are so proud of our Sharks!.

We are honored to have 9 finalists for The Heart of Education Awards at Tarkanian Middle School. Congratulations to Janet Barberie, Colleen Calomino, Jeanne Clayton, Karin DeMarce, Veronica Drazba, Aaron.

We has so much fun celebrating our Quarter 3 Straight “A” Sharks! Congratulations to all of you and keep up the good work.

The Eclipse Theater hosted 100 of our 8th grade female students for a STEM activity. The girls watched two science related movies, “Space Next” and “In Saturn’s Rings.” They also made their own lunar model. It was a fun day learning about science!”.

On Tuesday April 23rd, the Visual Arts Department hosted Tarkanian's first Art Show. Artwork from Mrs. Brickey's beginning, intermediate and advanced classes, as well as, photography from Mrs. Muraco's.

Students had a great time at our recent Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports Bingo event. Thank you to our PBIS Committee for hosting!.

Congratulations to our Semester II “Be Kind” Award winners! Students were selected by staff for showing kindness and making Tarkanian a wonderful place to be.

Our first Vegas Golden Knights watch party was a huge success! Not only was this an amazing event for our Tarkanian community, but we were able to raise $1900 for the Vegas Golden Knights Foundation. Thank you.

Food is love in visual form. Our Parent Advisory Committee and Administration definitely love our staff! Thank you for the delicious breakfast and taco lunch this week as we head toward the end of Quarter 3.

Last week 7th graders in Mrs. Calomino’s, Mrs. Seavey’s, and Ms. Howell’s ELA classes presented their argumentative essays to the TMS administrators to make a positive change to the school, and many were approved! We love seeing our students advocate for the student body.

The Clark County School District continues to work with the National Weather Service and the Clark County Emergency Manager to monitor the inclement weather. We have been informed there is a potential for freezing.

We love having fun while learning! Our Network to Transform Teaching (NT3) staff members, Ms. Calomino, Ms. Brickey, Ms. Seavey, Ms. Howell, and Ms. Gluth kept us focused on our “why” at our site based collaboration time.

Happy National School Counselor week to our amazing team of counselors! We are so lucky to have Ms. McAllister, Mr. Carlson, and Ms. Durham.

Stuckey Elementary and Jones Blackhurst Elementary joined us today for the last of our three day Shark Showcase. We had a blast this week welcoming all of our incoming 6th grade students! A huge thank you to everyone involved in making this event such a huge success.

We welcomed Frias Elementary and Reedom Elementary today for our Shark Showcase. It was another great day of showing our incoming students all of the amazing things they will be a part of at TMS.
