Same experience. Heavy breathing and exhaustion from a short distance run as well as mental sluggishness. Most kids aren’t getting the basic exercise and nutrition they need. This is a major problem.
Nearly every time I've taken my kids to a local park, I've noticed something depressing: A shocking percentage of kids, some as young as 5 or 6, are wildly obese. Others look like mom and dad don't even care that they are still in their PJs and look like nobody cares for them.
