Delays and cuts to Access to Work support are pushing Disabled people out of their jobs. We need to speak out and tell MPs that cuts aren't the way to help people into work. Let's keep Disabled people in the picture. Contact your MP: https://t.co/uWrmcP5lcG

As SNJ’s founder, and a fellow Culcheth kid, @AndyBurnhamGM I’m happy to explain everything you really need to know 😉
Greater Manchester Mayor Andy Burnham starts off strongly but then reveals he has no understanding of SEND or how EHCPs work…doh!

On SNJ this weekend, check out our tips to help you complete the Government’s #NationalSENDConversation survey—the survey fails to mention rights or EHCPs, so we have lots of reminders about what is already law. https://t.co/JJ8g423zdx

While others talk affordability, Pres. @realDonaldTrump went to WAR AGAINST BIG PHARMA to lower the cost of prescription drugs. Trump's 'Most Favored Nation Pricing' policy ends the global racket of Americans paying Big Pharma 3x to 5x what other countries pay for the same meds.

If you’re an educator you must read this. Parents, what’s your MP doing?
NEW POST: MP, @_Chris_Coghlan calls on schools to speak out about councils’ "systematic, moral, and ethical” abuse of #SEND law. He's committed to defending children's rights. Will your MP do the same? https://t.co/bvmMGBySYe

An important article. Teachers, TAs, heads, please give your testimony anonymously.
NEW POST: How teachers are providing the missing evidence illustrating systemic SEND maladministration by councils. Accountability investigators, Measure What Matters, are urging schools and educators to share their experiences anonymously: https://t.co/bTf37cr96u

Why the £3bn may not all be new money — and if you’re attending a DfE “SEND conversation” this is invaluable reading
NEW POST: The £3 billion #SEND funding extravaganza: @CaptainK77 has crunched the numbers and set them against the @educationgovuk five reform principles so you can ask the right questions https://t.co/IoXIq7OBJ0

Had a terrifying dream overnight of hiding from someone(s) with a gun in a public place. Woke to news of two horrific mass shootings in Providence US and Bondi Beach, Aus.

@SEND_Action Yes, but I predict LA loss rate to increase if tested under the Equality Act in the Civil Courts which will make it worth the No Win/No Fee route. The only thing stopping those cases now, is that there is the tribunal preventing Civil Courts from taking the cases.

It’s nearly Christmas and we know you’re all busy but please pay attention because right now disabled children’s rights are swirling towards the plughole. #SEND
NEW POST: The 1% club: @captaink77 's analysis of Tribunal stats show LAs won almost none of 25k SEND appeals in 2025, at an indefensible cost of over £200m. Plus, a shocking announcement from the DfE shows the truth of the “national SEND conversation” https://t.co/LEJ42JXV5z

This £3bn funding announcement shows the truth about the sham that is the “National SEND Conversation”— when LAs (who lose almost all tribunals ) celebrate, disabled children lose out

The DfE's behaviour ambassador seems not to be acknowledging any issues with what was reported at Mossbourne VPA, other than the catch-all "there may well be issues" line towards the end of this piece:

New from me on a new Ofsted/CQC report on children with SEND not in school
NEW POST: Boost support for children not in school, develop EOTAS guidance, and fund schools to be needs-led, say Ofsted and CQC inspectors in new report. @TaniaLT has the write-up https://t.co/w7j8nYkMRB

Over the last year, this site has helped myths about the Motability scheme spread. Now, some of it is government policy. In today’s Guardian, I set about finding the facts and why the idea of “free cars for the disabled” has taken hold.

Starmer’s ailing government is happy to pursue ideas like cutting Motability, but all ministers will do is damage lives and themselves, says Guardian columnist Frances Ryan

And they wonder why children with SEND in mainstream are traumatised and why parents opt for specialist provision. This needs to be central to the Schools White Paper when it arrives
The report on Mossbourne needs a serious response from @educationgovuk - re-appointing a core advocate of these approaches (who was abusive on SM to the journalist who broke this story) and lauding testing and results over wellbeing has serious consequences. Action is needed!

NEW POST: SNJ's @CutScenesUK says @wesstreeting's focus on “over-diagnosis” ignores evidence, won’t cut costs, and the money could help reduce waiting times and boost support https://t.co/NK9hQgwIdP
