Many congrats to Yu Yuan on passing her PhD with minor corrections today! Her thesis, titled "The Finite Integration Method: Algorithm and its Applications in Solid Mechanics," is a great achievement. Many credits go to Prof. Wen, from whom I took over the role of 1st supervisor.

Computational modelling of composite materials can help us understand composite failure and facilitate the development of resilient composite materials. We recently reviewed the literature and suggested some future directions.

It was a lovely science weekend! We learned the plants and enjoyed taking microscopic photos of plants, flowers, insects and toys, etc. It was a really nice way to unveil a new "micro-world" for our kids. Thanks Jennifer for organising these fun activities and the photos.
