How does one write for 30 days in February?

Happy New Year...

The culprit is auto HDR, which can't be turned off in the phone camera. So I'm back to what I had to do with my old phone: manually adjusting brightness in Google Photos for every photo I want to use for something. Now with extra steps and worse results >.<

Was hoping to post an update about GYWO, but instead spent all evening trying to find an efficient way to get photos from iPhone to computer without them turning dark (spoiler: there isn't one). What's the point of good photos on the phone if I can't use them anywhere else? >.<

It paid off, though, bc it made the end of the month so easy, I was writing a day ahead for most of the last week. Which was really helpful for that fourth-Thursday holiday and my crazy busy Nov. 30!

Well, I didn't want to miss that reward, so I made sure to hit my goal every day, even if I had to stay up till 1 am! The middle of the month was hard, with almost 3k word goals on top of work, so I was actually going to bed around 1-2am every night for a week >.<

I unwittingly came up with a very motivating reward strategy: since I'm trying to avoid sugar, I only got a tiny piece of chocolate for making my goal each day, and only if I made my goal for 7 days in a row did I get a bigger reward, like a baked good.

I also made my word count goals every single day 😲 But I wrote over pretty often, sometimes by a lot, so I ended up with a very bumpy mountain 😂 (And since I wrote over by so much on the last day, it looks like I'm starting up another mountain..)

Didn't have time to post this yesterday, but- YATTTAAA!!! Another #NovemberWriting month won 😊 This time with 51,029 words - and I only needed to write 10 words on Nov. 30 😆 but I got carried away and wrote 1039 😂 #amwriting #writingcommunity

Also, I reached the peak today with 2739 words - tmr's word count is slightly less, and it's downhill skiing from here! But I won't bore everyone with another screenshot. Instead- snip incoming!

Just realized that I'm right on par for that #NovemberWriting month we used to do - my average is 1667 words per day 😀 But this is before updating for today, so I'm actually ahead now 😲 I caught up yesterday - 2 days early! #amwriting #writingcommunity

Also, I started a new story! Dark Dreams Far Beneath (#DarkDreams), a gay Little Mermaid retelling with an angry, vengeful merman, creepy/horror elements, mh and disability rep, and hopefully some..interesting..spicy scenes 😈 #amwriting #NovemberWriting #LGBTQ 🏳️‍🌈🧜‍♂️🗡️🌶️

(Not really - I have to do some real-world stuff to do - but I have way more day ahead of me for writing than I have for prob a week, and def the last couple days when I would *start* writing td a 2k goal at 9 or 10 pm 😣😣)

And the lumpiness continues 😆 A little dip the day b4 yesterday bc I ONLY wrote to goal, instead of going over. But I wrote over again yesterday. Let's see how today turns out, cause I basically have the rest of the day to write 😲 #amwriting #NovemberWriting #writingcommunity

But I'm still not happy with the writing itself. I'm going to stop rewriting this scene (unless I get inspired..) but not happy with the latest version.
