Considering the Raja-Sulayman size and capabilities it could bolted into, it's basically a corvette in disguise. Containarized mission modules particularly an ASW suite is the PN's main goal. But it has also provisions for AShM and AAM's.
The Philippine Navy's future offshore patrol vessel, “Rajah Sulayman” (PS-20), was recently seen undergoing sea trials in South Korea. The first of six vessels is expected to arrive next year.

Interesting happenings on the production of the KF-21.. As MD said on his recent post, of the MRF's currently offered, only the KF-21 is not bogged down by production queues and issues. It'll be seen if the KF-21 does win the vaunted contract.

Unfortunate that "water cannon" now sounds like a buzzword.. This particular Congressman is hellbent on pushing DDS/PRC fueled propaganda. Imagine calling the PCG officials corrupt when they already have ALOT to deal with against outside forces.

PCG releases a tender for a 60M MMRV. Requirements are interesting as it points out to the Austal design, hull fenders will mitigate ramming attacks against the aluminum hull. Also a point of interest is it should be PH built, likely in support of SRDP.
The 60m MRRV project has been tendered by the PCG. It’s curious that the ABC slightly lower than 2.5 billion budget likely after talks with Austal. 60m, 25knots, aluminum hull with fenders, >14 days endurance, required to be PH built. Hopefully, start of many 60m MRRVs.
