Going over my notes from @Talking_Bodies today and feeling such joy to have shared in such a creative and intellectually stimulating space, meeting so many sparkly people. Most of all, I loved the sense of community and mutual support. More of this in academia 💞

Section 28 messed me up. I grew up ashamed of my queerness, I kept it secret and tortured myself when I could have been out and happy. I missed out on so much, because our schools weren't allowed to teach us that this was normal. Don't let this happen to trans kids. Please.
