𝗡𝗘𝗪𝗦 | Confirmation that OUWFC and OUWFC Development have been awarded byes to the First Round of the FAWNL and FAWNL Reserve Cup following their victories at the weekend. As a result, the home game against Ipswich Town will go ahead as scheduled.

He assembled a squad that was able to compete at the top end of the division - one that I'll always be grateful to for having faith in OUWFC at our lowest - and has played a key role in helping Oxford United to develop as a club season after season. Thank you @Gilbert4414 💛💙

He immediately added some desperately needed stability to a club that was on its knees and slowly helped to drag it back up to its feet (I can't even begin to imagine how quickly he had to "learn on the job" at the time).

I remember being that concerned and sickened by the situation and what was happening to our club. Instead, Liam was appointed as the manager after guiding the Development team to their best finish in history the previous season and something very special happened.

At the time, we had just lost our league status, the majority of our players, our manager, our Development team and the club was under new ownership. Aware that women's football can be a precarious place, it felt like the perfect storm for a club going out of existence.
