We had so much fun these past few days with the wonderful composer and human being @ingridstölzel as she paid a whistle-stop visit. This visit from the highly esteemed composer turned out to be only a few days packed with rehearsals, two concerts,a première of her new arrangement

@IngridStolzel is here with us! We're excited about performing the première of her new arrangement today in Old Harlow. We'll also be playing work by @DHJoras, @RhondaLarson, Isabella Leonarda and Julius Röntgen. If you can't catch us today, we're performing again tomorrow!

We're really looking forward to premiering this arrangement on Friday in Old Harlow and then there's a repeat performance on Saturday in Westminster!

The final Women’s History Month dedication, we have reserved the honour for Ethel Smyth, given her role in fighting for equality. This clip is Smyth’s infamous ‘March of the Women’, arranged by @penelope.oboe. It was performed at the International Women’s Day concert @conwayhall.

Our second-to-last dedication for Women’s History Month is to Thea Musgrave, a Scottish composer of opera & classical music who resides in the United States since 1972. The clip we have for you is from her Impromptu No.1 for flute and oboe, we performed at St. John's Smith Square

Ingrid Stölzel was born and raised in Germany. She holds a DMA in composition from the University of Missouri. Ingrid Stölzel has been described as having ���a gift for melody.” In the clip we have for you today we are thoroughly enjoying getting to know her piece in rehearsal.#WHM

Errollyn Wallen moved to London, England, from Belize with her family when she was two years old. She was the first black woman to be featured at the proms. The clip today is from her piece Louis’ Loops, recorded live in Plumstead in June 2023, it is played by @Lana Bode.
