1900 blk S Yakima Ave, 6:48pm - TFD responded to a house fire with possible occupants inside. Crews found the home heavily involved in smoke and flames. Occupants evacuated & being evaluated on scene. Yakima Ave is closed btwn 18th & 19th while we continue putting out hot spots.

1600 blk of S Mildred St, 9:13am - TFD and @PSETalk are currently on the scene of a small gas line rupture. South Mildred St is currently closed between South 12th and South 19th. Please avoid the area.

I-5 near Puyallup River Bridge, 2:57pm - TFD responded to several calls reporting a brushfire on a hillside @ E 20th St, under I-5. The fire burned approximately 20,000 sq ft of hillside. Fire is now out. Crews are still on scene watching for hot spots - use caution in the area.

6300 blk East F St, 12:29pm - TFD responded to a house fire that extended to an occupied motorhome and at least 2 vehicles. All residents safely evacuated. 1 patient being evacuated as a precaution. 1 deceased dog. Crews still on scene checking hot spots. Localized power outage.

Dalco Passage Overlook, Point Defiance, 4:36pm - TFD received a call that 4 hikers were stuck on the cliffside due to high tide. Fireboat Destiny & Tech Rescue teams responded to reach the hikers from all angles. TFD rescued the hikers & hikers are on the Fireboat. No injuries RN

SR16 @ Sprague exit, 2:47pm - TFD received several calls regarding a hillside brush fire under hwy 16 near the Sprague exit. It is approx 10,000 sq ft, 80% contained. No injuries at this time. 2 right lanes still closed on Eastbound 16. Please use caution approaching the area.

Fire on SR 16 EB at MP 0.41 near S Sprague Ave beginning at 2:47 pm on July 19, 2025 until further notice. The right lane is blocked.

The building contained numerous wood and chemical products, which combined with the fire that had spread below the ground floor, made it inaccessible for safe entry into the structure. This is remains an active fire scene, and please avoid the area.

2300 blk South Tacoma Way, 8:50 am – TFD crews remain on scene of a commercial structure fire that broke out at 6:40 pm Sunday. Crews were forced to take a defensive strategy on this fire overnight.

4300 blk N 27th St, 4:39pm - TFD responded to calls about a garage fire. Crews fought the fully engulfed garage & were able to protect the neighboring homes from serious damage. One neighbor's home has minor damage. Garage and 2 cars are a total loss. Fire is under investigation.

Update: The preliminary investigation points towards fireworks as the cause of this fire. High winds fueled the fire and helped spread this fire to the house next door. Two families have been displaced. Red Cross provided assistance for one of the families.

It took about an hour of offensive firefighting to get the fire in the 1st house under control. 15 min later, we had the 2nd house on fire under control. Thanks to @Southkingfire for sending some support to fight this fire. We are still on scene. Use caution in the area.

1700 blk 57th St NE, 11:08pm - TFD received multiple calls of a house on fire. Crews arrived as the fire began to spread to a neighboring house. Crews are actively working to fight this 2-alarm fire. No injuries to report at this time. Please avoid the area.
