We are now closed to the general public and entering our conservation season. Let the work begin!.The house reopens to the public next year on Thursday 3rd April 2025. We accept research enquiries, group bookings, weddings and event bookings all year round.

Our support goes out to The Smoker pub, Plumley Nr Knutsford. With so much shared history we very much hope that the blaze was contained and much of this historic building saved. The name 'The Smoker' comes from the racehorse gifted to Lord de Tabley by the Prince Regent.

The gallery was sold on his death in 1827 but reviews and records of the gallery still exist, as do the collections that were amassed to fill it. The property is now to let, spotted by our Collections Officer on her recent trip to Frieze Masters.

Hill Street, Mayfair. This building was once residence to John Fleming Leicester who opened a gallery of British Art here in 1818, possibly the only one of its kind at the time, to display works by British artists to a select public. Yes public. #BritishArt #Regency
