and yes, the commonly ‘celebrated’ Mawlid is not permissible in the Hanbali Madhab, especially the one in India and Pakistan.

and only this ‘mustahhab’ part is allowed in the Madhab, other than that all Things which contradict the Shariah are either Makruh or deemed a Bid’ah in the Madhab. Barak Allahu Feek.

Well, Bid’ah in this case in the Hanbali Madhab differs based on the type. For example celebrating Mawlid as a festival or an event or like an Eid would be a Bid’ah Muharramah but on the opposite, giving reminders, reading his (صَلَّی اللہُ علیہ وسلم)’s seerah would be Mustahhab.
