Raphael Leonard is a tremendous talent and person. Has been a joy to watch him play the last two years at SIU. Will never forget his performance at Ole Miss, but he made so many catches in practice that made you say, “wow, that guy’s a pro.” Don’t be surprised if he makes it.

Will be fun to watch the QB battle unfold @SIU_Football. Baker has strong arm, is mobile and has great instincts. Lyles is still learning the offense, but is a mature and poised leader with plus skills. Reed throws a nice ball and has made a big jump in his second year.

Some things that hit me on the drive home from Evansville. 1. Best fan atmosphere I’ve been to since Wichita State. 2. Alex Stein would be 1st Team All-MVC if he was in the Valley. 3. Rodney Watson, who was 1 of 3 finalists to be SIU’s coach in 2012, deserves this.
Congrats to Southern Indiana and former #Salukis assistant Rodney Watson. Huge crowd at Ford Center tonight to see USI advance to NCAA Division II Final Four.

Talked to Austin Reed after practice today. Every QB has made plays that make you think he can be the guy. Next Saturday's scrimmage will be big.
