It’s great to see @achdidaho consider 🌳🌳 in planning & design of streetscapes. DYK: (1) 🌳 can help w/ “traffic calming”; (2) 🌳 improve air quality along travel corridors; (3) 🌳 🌳 are 😎, reducing surface temps of streets and sidewalks by 20+ degrees in the 🥵 of summer.
PUBLIC OPEN HOUSE REMINDER: ACHD is designing sidewalks for Coston Street between Warm Springs Avenue and Franklin Street. The purpose of this project is to improve safety and increase connectivity for pedestrians. 1/2
