Devika Sihag,20 joins PV Sindhu and Saina Nehwal as only the the third Indian women's singles player to win a World Tour 300 title. She was leading Goh Jin Wei 21-8 6-3 before her opponent retired with injury in the final of the Thailand Masters.

The yellow was fine, Sindhu perhaps deserved that. But you just had to look at that chair umpire's attitude towards Sindhu during this phase. It was like he was trying to school her instead of getting things under control. Sorry to say, that's just horrible officiating.
That red card for delay towards Sindhu was really uncalled for from the umpire, who was trying to make himself the hero. Even Chen was startled when Sindhu was called for delay at that point because she was only just getting to ready to serve herself.
