𝗥𝘅 𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗽 at @TTUHSCSOP welcomed high school students from across the Panhandle for an immersive introduction to the pharmacy profession. Campers practiced compounding techniques, explored pharmacists' roles & learned how pharmacy fits into the health care system

The @TTUHSC Pharmacy in Lubbock and the Amarillo Pharmaceutical Care Center in Amarillo will both be closed on Thursday, August 28 for their annual inventory. They will reopen for normal business hours on Friday, August 29.

Congratulations to Vida Haddad on being selected as the @TTUHSCSOP 2025 Amarillo Adjunct Faculty Preceptor of the Year. Our students described Haddad as an exceptional preceptor who seamlessly balances professionalism with approachability, is eager to teach, and is passionate.

Denise Anderson, Abilene; Taylor Le, Amarillo; and Linh Hoang, Dallas; received the 2025 Outstanding Service Award, which recognizes students who demonstrate exceptional service to patients/the community through volunteering, fundraising, and other philanthropic endeavors.

Ashley Higbea, PharmD, had a busy summer proudly representing the innovative & dedicated work @TTUHSC & @TTUHSCSOP does to prepare future health professionals for collaborative, patient-centered care through Interprofessional Education at three different state & national events!

Jocelyn Ferguson and Sara Nguyen, P2s, were accepted into the Albertsons Summer Internship Program! They got to tour the Albertsons central fill facility and worked both inside and outside the pharmacy with immunization and diabetes clinics over the duration of the internship.

Congrats to Becky Mahan on being selected as the @TTUHSCSOP 2025 Faculty Preceptor of the Year for the Abilene campus. Our students described Mahan as someone who provides a positive learning environment, balances autonomy/support, answers questions & makes learning a priority.

@TTUHSCSOP @SNPhA Chapter's Prescription for Service team, Beverly Yu, Nathan Charay, Blanca Alvarez & Paulina Cruz, won 1st place for their HIV SMART project in the Walmart P4S national competition and awarded $10,000 in scholarship funds! Please join us in congratulating them.

Denise Anderson, Abilene; Blake Connell, Amarillo; and Michael Tierney, Dallas; received the 2025 Student Role Model Award, which recognizes students who demonstrate outstanding leadership qualities for both their class and others within the school/university and/or community.

We had the pleasure of welcoming 145 incoming students at annual White Coat ceremonies on the Dallas, Abilene and Amarillo campuses over the last two weekends. Receiving the white coat is a reminder of the commitment our students make to an honorable and trusted profession.

Oluwanbu Olanrewaju, P4 at the Abilene; Chandler Batson, P4 at the Amarillo; Irina Gradinaru, P4 at the Dallas; & Darian Higgins, P3 at the Lubbock; received the 2025 Outstanding Clinician award, which recognizes students that demonstrate exceptional clinical skills on rotation.

The American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (@ASHPOfficial) recently announced that Travis Schubert, incoming P4 at the Dallas campus, will be serving as a member of the Pharmacy Student Forum Executive Committee for the 2025-2026 term. Congratulations, Travis!
