Our research team applied these criteria to more than 1,400 patients seen at 360 Concussion Care clinics across Ontario. We compared the results to how doctors made their diagnoses using clinical judgment.

New Publication Alert from our team! In 2023, the ACRM updated how concussions (also called mild traumatic brain injuries) are diagnosed. These new criteria look at how the injury happened, what signs and symptoms are present, and the results of medical tests.

Interested in our sub-studies? Next up, we are looking 👀 into vision and pupillometry tests. These are quick, non-invasive tests that measure how your eyes move and how your pupils respond to light, which can help detect brain changes after a concussion. 👁️

Our sub-study, exercise tolerance🚴♀️ This can be tested in athletes & non-athletes w/ a concussion. By riding a stationary bike, we can track heart rate & blood pressure and see how much activity can be tolerated before symptoms worsen. This helps guide a safe return to activity🏆
