And our Year 8s did us proud @the_ursuline! They merged their cross curricula learning from units covered on the British Empire & colonisation in their History lessons with their paper engineering skills in DT to mark this historic event @CatBarFin @STEMRussell
On 22 June 1948 75 years ago, the Empire Windrush docked in Tilbury, carrying passengers from the Caribbean to fill labour shortages in the UK. Everyone @the_ursuline got a chance to recognise it's milestone #DT played around w/i mechanism & made #Windrush75 Pop-cards! @TPecku
