I don't know for certain but this feels like a prime example of a guy who was supposed to go NCAA this coming year but lost his spot in Omaha for CHL + U Sports recruits. Now Evers gets a year of WHL experience, a nice boost for Clarkson before 2026-27. Nice for Vees fans too.
🚨 BREAKING 🚨 . Clarkson has received a commitment from 3.5 ⭐️ recruit Ryder Evers. The 6’4 forward out of British Columbia had 60 points in 54 games for the BCHLs Penticton Vees last season & will play for their WHL club in 2025-26. Evers was previously committed to Omaha.

With Matthew Schaeffer coming to terms with the NYI, we're up to a dozen players from the 2025 NHL Draft that have now signed their entry level deals; 9 from the 1st round.
This makes 10 players from the 2025 NHL Draft that have signed already, 8 from the 1st round and 5/10 are from @TheWHL . Here I was expecting less signings because of the NCAA rule change but it doesn't seem to have made as big a difference as I expected.
