台風18号は花蓮に深刻な被害をもたらしました。黄国昌主席は直ちに黄成峻副秘書長に被災地へ赴き、被害状況の把握と必要な支援を提供するよう指示しました。また、花蓮県の党支部および林憶君立法委員事務所のスタッフの皆様の無私の奉仕にも感謝申し上げます。
台湾の皆さんへ この度、台風１８号（ラガサ）により、台湾東部を中心に大きな被害が発生しているとの報に接し、大変心を痛めています。 犠牲になられた方々に哀悼の意を表すとともに、御遺族に対し謹んでお悔やみ申し上げます。また、被害に遭われた方々に対し、心からお見舞い申し上げます。
