KOC has stated his desire for a championship worthy team. Championship worthy teams run the ball well and control the clock, especially in December and January. If he can’t or doesn’t want to run the ball, he’s not doing himself or the team any favors.
@TPPSkol KOC does not want to be a run first team. Take away the first 5 weeks last year where they didn’t trail at all and they were 34 pass attempts a game. I’m easily taking the over 32 pass attempts a game this year. *Unless the defense is the 2000 Ravens defense reincarnate.

In 2024 the Vikings averaged 32 dropbacks/game. 2023 - 37 dropbacks/game. 2022 - 39 dropbacks/game. Given the addition of Jordan Mason to the backfield, along with Aaron Jones already causing a 5 dropback reduction, we'll likely see another drop as JJ acclimates to the NFL.
J.J. McCarthy only averaged 26 dropbacks/game at Michigan. Volume will be fascinating for @Vikings QB. @PaulHembo 🫡.

Kevin O'Connell is very aware that he hasn't won a playoff game in Minnesota. Speaking today, he noted how this team has proven it can win regular season games (especially when media doesn't think you'll be good) but mentioned the goal is to start winning in the "second season".

Something to keep your eye on for next week. The @Vikings are hosting the @Patriots for joint practices at TCO Performance Center the 13th and 14th.
Patriots coach Mike Vrabel jumped into a scrum of players at Wednesday's practice with the Commanders and came out with a bloodied cheek. No players were ejected from practice and it was resolved quickly.
